Post Body

Howdy!

We released our latest investigation, Mauritius Leaks, this evening. We worked with 54 reporters in 18 countries on a leak that came from Conyers Dill & Pearman Mauritius office. We sifted through more than 200,000 files to reveal how multinational companies are using Mauritius to pay less tax โ€“ย often at the expense of their neighbors.

Here are the main stories:

Treasure Island: Leak Reveals How Mauritius Siphons Tax From Poor Nations To Benefit Elites

Inside the firm at the heart of Mauritius Leaks

It takes a village to create a tax dodge - this is what we call a scrolly story. It's not 5,000 words, it won't take you very long to read and should hopefully explain the many different elements (and organizations) it takes to actually dodge tax. You'll all no doubt see some familiar faces given you're on /r/PanamaPapers ;)

For the spreadsheet lovers: We published 200 Mauritian Companies used by Conyers. You can download a spreadsheet and check out the data!

Quick video overview: if images, and video is more your thing. This is the one for you!

Any questions, let us know! Our lead reporter Will Fitzgibbon is always up for answering questions :) We'll check back!
