I mean, it's not ruining a perfect trait pal, it's just not going to have stats as high as one with Max IVs. It's perfectly fine to ignore IVs, especially given how difficult it is to pass down traits and IVs simultaneously. Not to mention being unable to get the alpha stat boosts on something you bred, makes it hard to get a legendary with the right IVs and traits to be able to compete with an alpha variant of it

Yeah that disappointed me to find that pokerus is non-existent in SV, because I loved being able to tack on a power band with pokerus and whatever else and just go like 15 guys and be good to go
