Is Palworld What Pokemon Always Should've Been?

As the title suggests, I'm curious to hear opinions. I quit playing Pokemon years ago, solely because they all felt like the same game, and the pokemon just started to feel more and more bogus and uncreative- we went from Pikachu, to Lanturn, an ACTUAL lantern. Is Palworld a pokemon killer? Will pokemon level up their game to become what Palworld now is? The floor is open.
