Possible glitch during a quest?

Hey there! So I was in the middle of doing the it takes a village quests and I saved while up in the sky islands where you collect the bugs and the eggs. I had to save then and there because my fiance needed me for something. I've come back into the game and for some reason I'm back down on Bahari Bay? Does anyone know how to get back up to the sky islands? If this is a glitch I am honestly quite upset as any other time it saves me RIGHT where I was
