What's your process of drawing a new dinosaur? Does the colors of this Aquilops look acceptable?

I would love any advice before I try to paint this guy :) Is this a reasonable plausible look for this dinosaur? How do you choose color palettes and textures when drawing dinos? I took inspiration from a bird and chameleon and used some guesses about region and environment. My idea was that this is a male of the species and so it has this flashy red beak and markings to attract a mate.
