On the cartons for Simple Truth Organic Milk, they say the cows are fed organic feed (probably corn) and allowed to graze (barn has a door to the outside probably). I was wondering if anyone knew if this is pretty close to grass fed dairy, or if it is just another marketing ploy and the majority of their diet is probably corn. I ask because I really need the supplemental vitamin D they add to commercial milk, otherwise, I'd just buy milk from one of the local farmers. If it's not grass fed, I'd rather just save the money for another brand.
