(need help)Champions to learn to help carry in ranked
Post Body

Hey Paladins Reddit! Was just wondering if y'all had recommendations for champions to help me carry in ranked. Currently, I am a frontline/support main and it has been very difficult for me to win ranked matches (in Gold) since it always feels like my team is the weakest link. Imo, it feels like no matter how well I play, someone on my team will always throw or rage just because of a micro mistake (such as not picking their preferred support). I am in no way a perfect player, since I miss shots and misplay, however, I don't think the mistakes I make (missing a headshot on ruckus) is the same severity that my team makes (damages feeding or intentionally feeding).

I used to play in the beta of the game and I was diamond back then, and it has been difficult for me to not get frustrated with my current rank. Back in 2017 I used to play a lot of Sha lin, Drogoz and Androxus, but currently, I have been playing (sorted by class):

Frontline: Ruckus (used to play him in beta and he feels similar to what I remember), Torvald (usually as a counter pick to a high mobility flank) and Makoa. I feel comfortable with all of these picks and I feel like I am decent at all of them, but I feel like they lack the potential to carry a team at my current skill level.

Support: Pip (I know he isn't the best support in the game, but I enjoy playing him quite a bit), and Grover (feels similar to what I remember like Ruckus).

And I am asking for recommendations for flank and damage. I prefer burst-ier projectile champs over hitscan champs. (Thanks in advance for any recommendations). Bomb king looks interesting (used to play him in beta) but a lot of people online have said he is hard so I don't know if something changed with his kit. I also prefer older champs since they are nostalgic for me and they don't have overly complicated kits, but if there is a newer champ you like feel free to recommend it!

I have been queuing with one of my friends who is also a frontline main, and we frequently make plays off of each other, but both of us are looking to switch towards being damage/flank players because playing frontline has been pretty atrocious recently.

Thanks again for any recommendations and just to clarify I don't think that I am a god tier gamer, just that I feel like I need to play something else than what I prefer in order to increase my winrate. Any recommendations for lower elo would help too!

Sincerely,

Mila

(Sorry if I came off rude to Gold players)
