Out of about 10 games I've played today, in only 3 of them did my teammates play the objectives. For the rest of the games my teammates were just running around trying to get kills, COMPLETELY ignoring the Siege destroying our base.
Nothing is more frustrating than seeing the Skye who did nothing but run around trying to get kills complain that her teammates did nothing when she was never near a capture point.
With the inclusion of a deathmatch, people who want to play the objective gamemode can and the ones who are just in it to run and gun without thinking can do so too.
Also a hint for new (aren't we all) players. If the enemy is capturing the point you can run into it to stop them. Don't just stand outside the point missing shots on them. By running onto the point and stopping them from taking it you can buy your team more time to get there.
Edit: To please the gentlemen rudely circlejerking(apologies. circlejerk isn't the right word. He was more like... Shitting on my idea without giving any good reason other than "some champions are only good in teamfights") himself. TEAM deathmatch.
Literally all HiRez has to do is remove the objectives and make it so that the first team to 30 or so kills wins. Done deal. It works in TF2, CSGO, Overwatch. Yes there are some champs who excel in teamfights but who's to say that you have to run out alone in a team deathmatch? There's nothing that's stopping your team from running around together.
Edit2: Yes, I agree it's a bit too early in the game's beta cycle to be wanting this type of gamemode but this is just for future ideas because I've been matched with far too many people who are too busy fighting and ignore the objective leading me to 1v3 the enemy while they capture the point. And also it's also agreeable that maybe I'm just unlucky and getting teammates who are new/don't care about the game.
