Question about permits for section hiking
Post Body

Hey guys, I'm just starting to get into backpacking and since I live in Southern California I figured it would make sense to use some sections on the PCT try it out. I've been eyeballing going from Paradise Cafe to Idyllwild for a weekend hike. I know to run the whole trail you need a permit, but what would it take to do just a section like that? Would just a San Jacinto forest permit suffice? What if I wanted to go from Warner Springs all the way to Idyllwild?
