Hi there, im 21 and I had a Zio patch (holter monitor) on in early May and finally just got into a Cardiologist about a week ago. The Zio patch results came up as a Second-Degree Type one heart block and occasional high grade heart block events. My Cardiologist does in fact think I have a heart block but we need to determine what type with a loop recorder inplant. He said I might need a pacemaker. He also thinks I have POTS on top of that? I have a very high heart rate (120- 170) then I have a very low heart rate (32-40) and my average is 83 bpm.

Questions: Will the pacemaker interfere with my POTS? How long do you live with a pacemaker? Do pacemakers hurt or are they uncomfortable? How long till a pacemaker is changed? What type of pacemaker is usually used for a degree-two type 1 or 2 heart block?

Does anyone else have the diagnosis degree-two type 1 or 2 heart block? Do you have a pace maker or are you unpaced?
