I've seen a few posts lately regarding looking for games to play etc. - these fall into 2 categories; those looking for new games, and those whinging they see too many of the same posts.
Had a few spare moments today so started work on a kind of next game finder in Excel for those after a new experience.
Select a game you like/want to find something similar and you get a list of 10 that you're most likely to fancy. It's currently based on a list of VR games taken from Wikipedia, and the list is generated using keywords, genre and the VR game critic score to come up with a top 10. You can then click straight from here to see reviews of the game (this is very buggy at the mo). The main issue is, the genre descriptions from the Wiki aren't necessarily correct or omit valuable information, meaning that the results are questionable. I'm working my way through and updating these (it's over 500 games long), but it's taking a bit.
Anyway - I should have it finished soon-ish. But if anyone wants to contribute and do a bit of leg work then the idea will be that this is hosted on google docs and I'll maintain it as more games come out - send me a message if you've got a spare few mins, I'll make sure you're credited.
Few other issues to iron out such as the game you're playing appearing in the list but I'm getting there.
