Hello everyone. I suffer from Post Finasteride Syndrome (PFS) since August 2023.
This is not PSSD, but the two conditions are considered as very close in the literature, as per the last Melcangi studies (2023). I suffer from depression, anhedonia, lack of libido and motivation.
I did a gut microbiome test the 21 January 2024. The results are just in, and they show a lot of worrying and interesting anomalies. Here are the anomalies :
(1) The most abundant species is Alistipes putredinis (23 %). This particular species is linked to depression and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) in humans and mouses, as per :
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7296073/
https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0046231
(2) The second most abundant species is Parabacteroides distasonis (14.66 %), a species linked to depression in mouses, as per :
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0889159121005080
(3) I have an inverted ratio of Bacteroidetes (more than normal) and Firmicutes (less than normal) compared to the healthy population.
That is also linked to depression in humans in the scientific literature.

(4) My species diversities (156) is low, 31% less than the mean of the cohort that took the test (229).
(5) Important bacteria are missing. No Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus, [Eubacterium] hallii, Bifidobacterium longum, Veillonella atypica, Akkermansia muciniphila are not detected.
