As somebody who has spent the last couple of years modding Gameboys, IPS screens, buttons, shells, battery mods. I have then progressed and modded DS Lite, 3DS. etc. More recently been modding Gamecube controllers.
One thing I am able to purchase in all these scenes is Resin Buttons. Here is an example of what I mean. I am surprised that a Google search of PSP Resin Buttons returns few results and a reddit search in /r/PSP for resin returns a single relevant result.
Why is Resin Casting not more popular? I assume the answer to this question is that the PSP hardware modding scene is not as mature as some other consoles. You can see this in the shells on AliExpress, which are are lower quality compared to the Gameboy scene.
One thing I may do is teach myself Resin Casting from YouTube videos, or find an existing Gameboy modder who can do some experiments for me.
I am loving hardware modding PSPs so far and I have only been doing it two weeks!
