Should I buy and mod a PSP or a PS Vita?

For the last few months I've been debating if I should buy and mod a psp or a ps vita and was wondering which one is easier to mod? I've modded a 3ds so I have some experience but I'd be nervous to do anything too in depth lol. Also how much can you do on the psp vs vita when they are modded? Thanks!!!
