My ps5 keeps making new save data for the witcher 3 even though I already have save data for it, how do I fix?

I don't have ps plus so I can't do cloud save, I've tried reinstalling and have no idea what to do. the save data is from the same game at whatever version it was on on the 13th of august last year. please help, I have over 40 hours in this game and this is my third save, i really don't want to have to play through the first 40 hours again
