What Upload Speed does your PS4 Pro (or even PS4) give you?
My PS Remote play in my home on LAN doesn't really run well, and I think its due to low PS4 upload speed. I have a 100mbps upload/100mbps download ISP and my PS4 pro is connected by 5GHz wifi and so is my laptop. When I do the "Test Internet Connection" in the PS4 settings, usually I see 80mbps for upload and around 2mbps to 4mbps for download which I think is slow and affecting my Remote Play experience. My game downloads are very quick, so i think its something wrong with the upload only. My laptop easily shows 100mbps UL/DL during speed tests.
I would appreciate if a few people can tell what kind of upload speeds you get on your PS4 Pro/PS4 or if you are aware of any means to make the upload speed better. I am unable to connect Wired at the moment, but I certainly hope 5ghz Wifi can give better than 5mbps of upload speed on the console. I tried changing the MTU speed on the console to 1450 based on some pointers after a Google search but that did not help. Can anyone help me?
Update1: Lots of people suggested a wired connection and I did try it temporarily and it made no difference. Then I found recent posts on r/remoteplay, many of which suggest that Remote Play has been having many issues recently, including the frequent disconnects I have been seeing. Few people have suggested the Chiaki Remote play client instead of the official one which is apparently working better. I am yet to try it out.
Update2: Chiaki also didn't solve the problem for me. Looks like Remote Play issues need to get sorted out, if at all they fix them now. Playing on the lowest resolution and frame rate seems to help a little for now.
