Do I uninstall a disc game before I install a digital version?

My PS4 likes to beep and eject discs randomly, its annoying but I found a solution that limits this from happening. But still I like playing games uninterrupted so I'm planning on buying the digital version of a disc game (Fallout 4) I have to not have to worry about this.

Do I uninstall the disc version first or just not worry about it? I don't need to keep any saved games or mods (I can just add them again later if need be).

Also as I bought and downloaded the DLCs for the disc version would they work on just the single Fallout 4 download or would I need to download them again (or just buy the GOTY edition)?
