Perfect summary of my thoughts aswell.
I kept thinking the story would have somehow ended up with Ellie saving Abby from the slavers, escaping with them to the firefly homebase and somehow being able to become the cure - ultimately sacrificing herself, finally given the choice to do something meaningful.
But then i remembered im not playing an uncharted game and were suppose to feel jaded at the ending
