I have avoided From’s games, but decided to give Bloodborne a try. I’ve been playing for quiet a few hours now, and I’ve been sucked into the world and the tone of the game.

The problem is, I suck at it. I’ve gone against the Cleric Beast a number of times and died repeatedly. If I can’t defeat the first boss, how can I expect to survive any others?

The lack of progression in any sense is becoming very frustrating. I have had a few good runs, but of course the moment I die I start back at literally square one. I have to give up before the frustration kills me.

EDIT: I've been convinced to persevere, and have a few tips now that may help. I'll keep going for a few days, and if I'm still stuck at the end of the week I may give it up until after I'm done with Link's Awakening!
