This started about a week ago. Literally the only online game I play is Overwatch, and the people in game chat sound like screeching Velociraptors. At first, I thought it was someone else's mic... but then it kept happening... so then I thought that it was my mic that was shitting the bed (I've been using the mic that came bundled with my PS4 that I bought about 2 years ago. I do have other headsets, I just LOVE the one that came bundled with my PS4, even though it's a cheap little thing.)
I tried three different headsets, and the problem still persisted. I figured it was my controller, or something. (Note: I have game audio and chat audio set so they both come through my headset.) I unplugged the headset so everything came through my TV, and it sounded just as bad if not worse.
So then I figured it was still either my controller, or maybe my PS4 that was the problem.
HOWEVER, on Thursday night, I played Overwatch with 5 other friends in a private party. Game chat was perfectly fine. I asked, but they said that my mic sounded fine as well. On that night, I was using my cheap bundled PS4 earbud that came bundled with my PS4 that I love so dearly. It was great.
I didn't play last night, but I hopped on to play some Competitive by myself tonight, and the game chat was still just atrocious. I like to chat with other people since that's kind of the point of OW, but I just haven't been able to. It's unbearable.
Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how to fix my problem?
