Everything was working fine until today when I noticed as I booted watch dogs that I couldn't log into uplay due to a connection error.
Well it's strange, the connection test makes it as far as the IP address and fails at Internet connectivity. But I can access the store, and updates are downloading fine.
I can't see the trophy data or log into the game online.
I get error nw-31253-4 when trying to see trophies, and error ce-33991-5 during connection test. I have tried to reset the router but it didn't work. All other devices are working fine on the wifi and cable is not an option for me.
Edit: setting up a manual connection and forwarding the ports with a static ip has not fixed the error. Getting worried now. If it's not a psn issue then does it mean a faulty ps4? Also when the proxy server setting comes it gets stuck in a loop. Keep selecting do not use and it keeps asking me to choose again and again...
Edit2: Okay so I've determined that the problem isn't with the PS4 (phew) but with the router. I connected to another wifi connection from the same isp and everything worked fine. Now my question is why am I getting this dns error and connection error on the original wifi connection that I have been using since the beginning, and which is working just fine with my ps3? I've reset the router and set it to factory defaults and again I am getting the same issue on this connection. Does this mean I have to change the router (although every other device is working just fine)? Or is there a specific setting in the router that I can change? The other connection which worked fine has no static ip set, nor is it forwarding any ports, so I don't think that is the issue.
