I recently picked up a CECHB01 model PS3 for the backwards compatibility. I just have one issue - it won't connect to my TV via HDMI! The TV is a Panasonic Viera TC-P50S1 (plasma, supports up to 1080p). Both my old CECHG01 and the new PS3 can connect to this TV via component cables.
All tech support online says to hold down the power button to reset the display settings. I hold down the power button at startup until it beeps twice. The PS3 detects the HDMI connection and asks to connect to it. When I hit "Yes" on the CECHG01, it quickly switches to the HDMI connection. But when I do this with the CECHB01, (same TV, HDMI cable, etc) it just gives a black screen before reverting to component cables.
Is this a well-known issue? What do I need to do to fix this?
