I just bought this thing on ebay and it is in immaculate condition. It looks like it has been cleaned, but I plan on taking it apart and cleaning it myself anyways, as well as applying new thermal paste to the heatsinks. I was just wondering if I should worry about delidding. I've played this thing for probably about 20 hours so far and it never gets more than slightly warm to the touch, and the fan is so quiet that I can't even notice it over the sound of the disc drive reading. I want to keep this thing in the best shape possible as long as I can, as I bought it to show my kids how good PS2 games were, I just worry about the risk vs reward here in my current situation. Any recommendations are helpful.
