r/PS3 Do you know the answers to my PS3 12GB questions?

Hey r/PS3,
I've had my PS3 Slim 120GB for five years now and it's decided to kick the boot and stop reading discs, my efforts to fix the problem haven't helped so I've decided to buy a PS3 Super Slim 12GB and use my 120GB hard drive in it though I have some questions. Though I have read up about it so it's more confirmation.
- Will the 120GB HDD from my old PS3 be compatible and work on the new 12GB model?
- Does the 12GB Model run just as well as previous models? I've read reading/writing is slower on newer model?
- A HDD mounting bracket is required, does this appear to be the correct one?
