Facebook Ad Experiment Impressions, Reach, and Spend Uneven

I've been running a couple of Ad Set experiments recently and the results have been very uneven: 1 Ad set has double the Impressions, Reach, and Spend as the other. Is there any way to force a 50/50 split? It just seems off to me that they would be so different but let me know if you know the reason.
This is the 2nd experiment I've run that's had results like this but the previous experiments were much more inline with each other in terms of traffic levels. I'm not as familiar with Facebook as other platforms so I'd love to get insight from the experts!
