Black Friday Event Run Towards Cold Audience?? Is this a good practice?

Post Body

So we were drafting up our black friday plan and want edto run meta ads to draw traffic to a sign up page, which is for the main event that will take place on Black Friday (a spinning wheel game). We've already published the campaign all targeted at warmer audience (customer list, website view, visitor time spent...etc). The result are quite meh. So we are thinking of running cold audience for this. From a marketing perspective, it doesn't quite really make sense since people don't know yet about our brand but from a PPC perspective, has anyone done something similar?

Thank you!
