Anyone else have trouble with family and friends?
Post Body

My family for whatever reason just refuses to believe I have anything wrong with me. Despite my fainting, symptoms, or diagnosis. Anytime I tell them I am having problems or need medicine (I’m young so my family literally locks all my medicine up in a box so I have to beg for meds all the time) They’ll look me in the eyes and say stuff I’d expect to hear from doctors that don’t believe me. It hurts hearing “you’re only feeling that way because you don’t eat enough… it’s probably just a stomach bug… you probably just have a fever the thermometer doesn’t catch” From my own family. It’s sad when I constantly have to explain to them why I can’t do stuff with them or do all the things they want me to do. Yesterday my mom even “offered” to take me to the hospital “since you’re feeling just so dang bad” She said it so snarky too, she truly doesn’t believe any of my symptoms or doctors no matter what happens. She even always questions why I add salt to everything and attributes a lot of my symptoms to the fact I “eat way to much salt”

Does anyone else struggle with trying to prove your illness to your family or friends?
