I have 3 cousins who all have POTS and so I have been trying to get diagnosed for a couple months and finally got a tilt table test done a week ago. I was hopeful that I would pass out because I knew that that was a sure-fire way of saying I have POTS, but I also didnāt want to because Iāve never actually passed out before. The blood pressure cuff that they put on my arm was Brutal after the first like 2 squeezes. And then I think at the 15 minute mark I was hoping and praying I would pass out because I wanted the test to be over. I felt soooo awful and I desperately just wanted to get down š I did take some comfort that I donāt think ānormalā people would feel awful just from standing there for 30 minutes š So I knew even mid-test that even if I didnāt have POTS, then something had to be wrong. But anyway, I didnāt end up passing out. And I was just able to see this chart today - and from my understanding I almost definitely have POTS. My follow-up with my cardiologist isnāt for almost a month, so I wonāt have an official answer until then, though. Anywho, just wanted to share! Itās exciting and validating and cool haha
