Just wondering if someone can demystify this for me.
My pulse pressure is usually low while standing (between 15 and 25). If I measure immediately before or after while sitting, it increases to normal range (usually to the 35-45 range).
I know that low pulse pressure can be a sign of hypovolemia. But I clearly have the same amount of blood if I’m measuring within a few minutes of each other. So what causes this change?
(If it’s relevant, it’s usually always the diastolic that’s increasing upon standing, although sometimes the systolic drops a bit).
