Post Body

Well I’ve done one trip by myself. North santiam trail in opal creek. It was only like 1.2 miles in and then I set up camp and it was really easy and no threat of bears or cougars so I felt safe as far as that goes. I’ve only gone on a handful of backpacking trips with a group of people so My confidence isn’t super high for doing something exceptionally long and difficult in terms of terrain. I really wanted to do goat lake loop in goat rocks wilderness solo but seems sketch for someone who hasn’t done something a little more mellow as a solo backpacker. I did Ice lake in the wallowas with a partner and I want to do something like that again but don’t know if it’s the best to do solo! Any advice helps!
