Updates 3/19/23:

Hello All! I just wanted to update the community on a couple of changes going into effect today. Some of these were voted on by the community.

• Firstly, postings that do not directly contribute to the searching for/finding of persons/relations are no longer going to be allowed to be posted. The community and its members appreciate the sharing of random pictures or retellings of your adventures but these postings are not what this subreddit was created for and makes it difficult for members to search through postings.
• Lastly, locations are now going to be required in posting titles moving forward. This is being done to allow easier browsing for members and to allow easier filtering/moderation. Locations can be added at the beginning or end of a posting title with a # and can resemble the following Ex: "#PortlandOR - Couple searching for a third tonight" or "Couple searching for a third tonight - #PortlandOR".

Hello all, and a Happy Holidays!

I'd like to post an update on changes made to the rules and moderation system.

Firstly, The rules have been updated to include wordage corrections and the addition of the No random or useless postings rules. This new rule will alleviate the issue of postings that do not contribute to searching/interacting with the community and usually leads to the selling of content and services. Depending on posting types and manual approvals by mods, this is subject to change.

Secondly, The moderation tools have been modified to streamline enforcement, requiring less mod staff interaction. The pros outweigh the cons with this setting regarding bot/spam enforcement. If accounts are less than a day old and/or have a combined karma of less than 10, their posts will automatically be deleted/rejected. My suggestion to new Reddit users is to familiarize yourself with Reddit etiquette and other subreddit communities before you return to post here.

Lastly, thanks to everyone that has contributed to the community and followed the subreddit rules. Everyone have a safe and Happy Holidays. Please feel free to let others in spam-ridden or dead communities know about PNWMeet, and I look forward to furthering updates to the community and feedback received.

10/10/2022:

Firstly, All postings moving forward will be automatically locked with an auto comment being posted tagging the original poster with a message informing all members that this has been done and why. This has been done to prevent spam, but it also provides protection to subreddit members by keeping all private communications inside a PM/Chat.

Secondly, I have adopted an account age and minimum karma requirement to be able to post or comment in this Subreddit. This should filter out most scam accounts and spam posts/comments. If you have a new Reddit account and find yourself being filtered by these rules, you can message me, and I will manually have you verified, and then you should be able to post moving forward.

Thirdly, All posts now require a flair to be added to allow easier filtering for members. If you cannot find a post flair that matches what you are looking for, please PM me, and I can add specific ones I may have missed or pick one that matches closest.
