Experience Switching IUD?

Post Body

I had the Skyla IUD for 3 years and decided to switch to Kyleena when that time was up, since it's a little bit longer term (5 years) and the hormone levels didn't seem too much higher (14mg of levonorgestrel on Skyla vs 17.5mg on Kyleena. However, I have noticed increasing symptoms since using Kyleena, both emotional and physical, and it seems the symptoms last longer. I think I have always been prone to irritability before menstruation, however I worry that I will impact relationships during this time as I know I am being irrational. I have also had random crying spells which don't really seem to have a logical source. Sure, I could say something tiny has happened, but it's definitely not something I should be crying about. I found a comment on this thread from someone who stated Kyleena had similar effects for them, but I was curious if anyone has had experience switching back to an IUD that worked for them previously? In hindsight, I shouldn't have switched, but I wanted the slightly longer term solution. I'm just worried these symptoms will become a staple now and that there's no going back. I conveniently have a gynecologist appointment tomorrow, so I am planning to talk about it there. I just wanted to ask here because I don't have a lot of friends with IUDs to begin with.
