I made a post earlier about trying out cutting out dairy and gluten and sugar and alcohol and red meat and non-resistant starches.
Well, I’ve done it, and I’m equal parts amazed, thrilled, and disappointed.
Disappointed because it looks like I will be eating like this for a while to come.
I’d like to say it’s joyless and restrictive, which it can be, but the relief I feel at having no bloat, no rage, no brain fog… it seems too good to be true. This luteal phase is almost stupidly easier than it has been for YEARS because of this change I’ve made.
And in terms of cutting out alcohol, I still had three drinks over the last three weeks. And one slice of pizza a couple days ago. So I haven’t been perfect. And it’s still amazing.
And the bloat and water retention and painful, heavy breasts? WHO ARE THEY? I feel so light. Also my skin is so smooth and all my eczema has disappeared.
I know I sound like a weird advertisement for this kind of diet. But I’m truly in awe at how this has worked, at least for me.
I still have lots of luteal hunger, but no “cravings”, if that makes sense.
I’m SO HAPPY!!!!! Day 24.
