Manual Motor Starter Options
Post Body

Firstly, my apologies if this isn't the best sub for this question. All the engineering subs seem very theoretical/math based and the automation sub seems very heavy on cool videos etc so I'm not sure where to ask this. Anyways here goes:

I work at an OEM that manufactures and ships machines around the world. We're trying to get away from fuses as much as possible because some customers in less developed countries have trouble finding replacements. Because of that we'd like to start using manual motor starters with overload and short circuit protection built in (coupled to a contactor for PLC control) instead of the more conventional fuse-contactor-overload arrangement. The problem I'm running into is most MMS are limited to Trip Class 10. I need something with high inrush capacity. So far I've only come across the Schneider GV4 series that looks like it will work. Can anyone suggest any other options that I may have overlooked?

Thanks!
