I have a few marine vessels that still have the old 24 column, 2.25" paper printers to record throttle position and such. All the companies we have bought these from over the years (recently Keltron) have either quit making them or are completely out of business.
Anyone know of a suitable, off the shelf, replacement for these things that would require minimal panel modifications? Specs are marine rated, 24 column, RS-232 interface, ASCII, 5 VDC power. Preferably with a power take up reel.
They should go to electronic logging on this but that would require a complete revamp of the system and the operations company refuses to even discuss.
Thoughts?
TIA
