Credit card with online application while abroad?

Migrated to the US, never nagka-income sa PH (umalis sa PH 20yo). May savings account ako with UB pero parang pangit yung nababasa ko tungkol sa CC nila. Nag-open lang ako sa UB ng savings kasi pwede kong gawin from USA with 1 country code phone number.
Anong pwede mag-apply ng credit card while in US? Employed with credit cards ako dito sa US pero no exp with PH. Meron akong kamag-anak sa PH na pwede pang address. Pero problema lang nga ay proof of income?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
