I will be travelling to Japan in a few weeks pero wala akong credit card. Ano yung best card na dapat kong gamitin for my transactions there (yung pinakamaliit na fees I guess)? I currently have debit cards for the following banks: BDO, BPI, Maya. Yung iniisip ko is itransfer lahat ng funds ko sa isang account ko para isang card na lang gagamitin ko for my entire stay. Thank you!

Yes! Sakto sa peak ng Osaka and Kyoto 😅 thank you so much sa tips, sobrang helpful! I'll keep a balance between cash and have my debit cards funded na lang para sure. I just learned now din na cash heavy pa rin sa Osaka and Kyoto.

Hi! I ended up buying some cash at a local money changer and for other expenses, I used my BDO debit card. The charges were very minimal and the exchange rate was really close to the buying rate I got.

Also, it depends on the place where you will mostly stay. We stayed in Osaka and Kyoto where places were still mostly relying on cash transactions. I brought 40k JPY for my trip.

Nope walk in lang

I didn't want the hassle of transferring my money to bpi since my payroll account is directly in my BDO 😁

I had my money exchanged at Sanry's money changer in Greenbelt 1. IMO, They have the best rates. Yen is also super cheap now so it's the best time to buy.
