Sharing this here because I saw someone’s post looking for a place to read. If you happen to be in Makati and you’re tired of reading in cafes, UCM (found in Rada corner Legazpi st) has a library that you can go to. It is open and is very welcoming to the public.
It’s not a big library, but it’s quiet and well-lit. I used to go here back when I was studying for boards. Please do sign up for the membership if you can. It’s around 200 pesos per year. They’ll give you a library card and wifi access. Membership fees help maintain the church and the library ☺️
Entrance is in Rada street, right next to the blue book box where you pick a book and leave some of your books too! You’ll just have to tell the security personnel (they’re super nice btw) you’d like to go to the library and sign your name. The library is two floors down. Head librarian is very kind too, she enjoys a good chat as it gets quiet most days.
