Henlooo!! Idk if this is going to be successful but I need your guys' help 😅

13-15 years ago, I remember reading this Mystery/Thriller Novel and the setting was in Long Island, New York. I also remember na in the first few pages of the book, it showed the Long Island/New York map (Although di ako sure if it was really Long Island 🥲)

I remember the Author's name was Mark. And the Book was copyrighted in 2004 or even earlier.

In terms of aesthetics, It was hardbound and color green with a color black painted on the spine and joint sa book.

I already tried googling all of the things mentioned pero nothing shows up. Hence why im asking my help here. It was the reason why I started reading books in general kase very "literary" yung style ng writing nung Author. Even though I only read like a page or even half a page of it, manghang-mangha parin ako kase as an 8-10 yr old at that time, I completely understood it kahit bata pa ako 😅.
