So I'm sure I've missed something but I have tried searching around for the answer. I have a Dell R220 that I want to use for PFsense. My issue is I'm not really sure what I need to do to make one of the two ports on it to be the WAN and the other to be the LAN passthrough for my switch. Or is theres something I am going to need a separate NIC to achieve. If thats the case can someone recommend one that I can use for this. Thank you in advance.
When I did that and set port one to wan and port two to lan the lan didn’t pass on to my switch. All my devices remained offline

Yeah both ports were working as in activity lights and prior to PFsense when it was just an Ubuntu server I got two different IP addresses for the ports. Now I am newish to this so excuse me if I seem lacking in knowledge but this was when my ASUS router was pluggin in. It was handling DHCP handouts. But when I was researching I read it’s better to go to modem to pfsense for public up and use Wi-Fi router in AP mode. So when doing this I went from spectrum modem to R220 and then to switch. So I don’t know if spectrum modems would handle DHCP as there is zero configuration with them.
