Always have to reassign interfaces after power interruption

it is running on a dell wyse thin client CPU is AMD GX-420CA has 2GB ram, CMOS battery is good and did a test on the HArd drive and it is good as well, the drive is a 60gb ssd. the problem I keep having is that after a power outage I have no connection to the internet is the best way i can describe it. the interfaces have the correct ip addresses but in order to restore everything, i have to reassign the interfaces. i know i can have a battery backup but it is in closed and the way it is set up i cannot ft one in there
