Hello everyone,
I am conducting a small research on some aspects of Persona franchise for my college thesis and I'd like to reach out to people from Persona community in various places c:
I've been a fan of the series for many years now and I really want to have as clear picture as possible to make it right. Thesis is centered around Persona 4 and 5 mainly because of the time when they came out and game's staff.
I have a few questions for you and if you'd answer even one of them - that would be a great help! Please, keep in mind that my goal is not to support certain narrative - rather to see how community perceives some aspects od the series.
Here we go:
- Would you say that there is a need for a gay or bi protagonist in future Persona releases?
- [Persona 4] What do you think about Kanji's sexuality? How does it look compared to later portrayals? (e.g. in Persona 4: the animation)
- [Persona 4] What do you think about Naoto's gender and sexuality? How does it look compared to later portrayals? (e.g. in Persona 4 Dancing all night)
- [Persona 4] Do you know of supposedly cut off Yosuke romance? Do you think of it as Atlus's attempt for giving the player to option to date same-sex character?
- [Persona 5] What to you think of 2 scenes with 2 gay men (Shinjuku trolls or Angel and Julian)? Do you think Atlus should have cut them out in international release?
- [Persona 5] What do you think of queer representation in this game? (other than mentioned above)
If you could also mention where are you from (country or continent is enough), that would be a bonus help!
Thank you so much, hope to hear from you soon!
