Not getting ×10 Armageddon or Victory Cry Card from Hanged Man door.

Yes, this is on my first playthrough. I am having trouble getting these two items. I keep doing the fight over and over again and I am not getting x10 Armageddon or Victory Cry skill card.
I've probably done the fight like 10 times at this point and only getting Rubies x5. I've let the maya's explode on me, I have let them kill a party member. I've done it by blocking the attack and not blocking the attack. Nothing seems to be working.
Is anyone else having trouble with this?
