Periods much more painfull after weightloss.

For the last 8 years or so my periods were not as painful as they used to be, but now that i have lost 12kg (still more to go) my period and the week leading up to it is so much more painfull than it has been in a long time.
Also, they seem to be more regular as well, before I would go months without a period and now it is roughly every 5 weeks, but that i expected.
Does anyone else experience more pain after losing weight?
