Hi! Sorry if this is not allowed/annoying but I’m looking for some help interpreting my blood test results. I know I obviously need to discuss this with my doctor and plan to, but it might be a while before I am able to get a follow up appointment and I’ve had bad experiences with doctors missing things/not being thorough.
For months, I’ve been having symptoms of hair loss, jawline acne, and irregular periods. I got a vaginal ultrasound that they said indicated PCOS. I think they said I had like 21 follicles or something?
Anyway, the doctor ordered blood work. I’m not sure if it was thorough enough and when I asked if it mattered what cycle day I was on, they said no.
My periods have been somewhat more normal recently. I started on 11/25 and then again 12/27. The blood work was done on 12/22.
TSH w/ reflex to ft4: 0.83 mIU/L
FSH: 3.3 mIU/mL
LH: 16.3 mIU/mL
Progesterone, immunoassay: 8.2 ng/mL
Estradiol: 145 pg/mL
Testosterone, total: 42 ng/dL
Testosterone, free: 4.3 pg/mL
Insulin response to glucose, 3 specimens (they take it fasting and then you drink a gross drink and they measure it after 1 hour and again after 2 hours):
Fasting: 2.4 uIU/mL After 1 hr: 19.2 uIU/mL After 2 hours: 27.9 uIU/mL
17 hydroxyprogesterone: this is not back yet and seems to be taking a long time.
All my individual values are in normal range so far, but I’m worried about the ratios of things?
