At the beginning of april (6th) I started taking inositol (instead of metformin) for PCOS and insulin resistance. It has been amazing for me for my insulin resistance as I've stopped throwing up in the middle of the night. A few weeks later I started having hormone symptoms and thought I was ovulating. I haven't had hormonal symptoms since I was on birth control (which I stopped years ago). This turned into me going to the doctor a few weeks later and taking a pregnancy test, which came back negative (may 3rd). A week later I complained that I was still having problems, and so she gave me progesterone and said if I bleed, not pregnant. 7 days after stopping the 10 day coarse, I bled.

I thought this would stabilize my hormones, but it didn't. I wrote an email to my doctor and asking if it was normal to have back pain, dizziness, nausea, headaches, random left shoulder pain and a rash come out of no where after supposedly being 5 days into my bleeding/period. I was advised to head to the ER.

ER only ran blood tests... I was pushing for an ultrasound because I was really worried that this was something else like a ruptured cyst, a regular cyst, or polyps but the doctor thought it wasn't "necessary". Blood tests came back that I was not anemic, not even close (despite me telling him I wasn't even heavy bleeding...) and everything else was fine. He did NOT run a hormone panel, but suggested I follow up with my OBGYN to run one as he (without me even suggesting hormones) said it looks like a hormone issue. INCLUDING the rash (which was in 4 different places on my body) which he identified as hives.

I've been trying to research why I'm having all these hormone crap but I'm finding nothing other than pregnancy, which is stressing me out. I have a doc appointment on monday where I'm going to ask for a hormone panel because I am STILL dealing with this hormone junk and I just want to understand why. Why can't I just get some answers?! I've asked other PCOSers, but no one seems to have, or had gone through something similar. It makes me feel alone and I'm getting frustrated that we're now into June and I'm still dealing with these BLASTED hormones!
