Lap surgery

I was diagnosed at 16 with PCOS. In 2012 this lap surgery was suggested to go in and remove scar tissue and to hopefully increase my fertility.
We have decided to start the prep for this surgery now. The scar tissue is causing lots of pain during intercourse, during my periods, and just in general sometimes.
Has anyone had this surgery done? Did you feel better afterwards? Were you able to conceive?
