So I realized it's been a long time since I saw an endocrinologist. I'm 31, turning 32 this year and definitely want to have children before 40.
I have a long road ahead of me but I am ready to start, so I called for an appt to my endocrinologist.
I need a referral, so I got a phone appt with my doctor.
She said there's a good chance they won't even accept my referral, because testing hormone levels and thyroid can be done in a lab.
This seems unacceptable to me since they specifically deal with hormonal things and PCOS is a hormonal thing.
So I'll go to my doctors, and beforehand go get blood work so we can discuss it. At the appt, I'm going to mention I want to get ultrasounds of my ovaries to see how they're doing and if I have cysts present or not, etc.
Is it so unreasonable to want to see an endocrinologist when I haven't seen one since I was like.. Maybe 19 at the oldest?!
