So, I have been reading tons of posts about brown discharge/light bleeding and I get that it's a common thing even without PCOS. I have not been properly diagnosed yet because "iz might just be my weight", but it's not ONLY that. I am going to do proper tests and bloodwork soon so I am excited about someone taking me seriously maybe. I have a bf and he is a little bit disgusted with blood so we don't have sex whenever I bleed even a little. Another thing is that sometimes it burns him for some reason even if we try it. I know- maybe an infection. But, I've been to the gyno and she couldn't find anything. So now I am on week three of constant on and off discharge/bleeding. I mean I wake up and everything is fine, then in the afternoon there it is, and then evening- fine again. I don't understand and I am getting so frustrated. This happens so often and a lot that I am in constant fear. I guess I just wanted to rant to someone who might understand, but any general advice on how to handle this is welcome. Thank you for listening to my MAD talk.

Ok I was going to say if you have cyst or fibroids it could cause the random bleeding. Iâm surprised they havenât diagnosed you yet. Sometimes doctors are scared to diagnose too early even though they have everything in front of them.
At your next visit lay everything out for them in terms of symptoms especially with ultrasound evidence that you have cyst. That plus your irregular periods plus weight fluctuations and bloody discharge not related to a period all sound like reasons to diagnose you. I would ask for hormone testing too. Your âweightâ could be a symptom also. (The excuse their using against you is wild donât let them do that to you) Once you have a hormonal disorder like pcos weight is not a key factor because your hormones can cause you to lose too much weight or gain too much weight.
Next focus on how itâs affecting your daily life. Stress to them itâs impacting your life and push for diagnosis so you can start receiving treatment. Without a diagnosis they wonât begin to treat anything or address it either. Even if they say no you remind them why itâs a yes and why itâs time to treat instead of wait. Even if itâs not pcos it would have to be something else. They have to do more testing and not brush it off or make you wait longer.
They will make you wait until it becomes an even bigger problem in your body and life. We have to really advocate for ourselves. I trusted the doctors too much when came to waiting and didnât learn to advocate for myself until much later. I waited ten years and now I have diabetes and other health issues including large multiple fibroids.
Keep pushing because it is causing problems for you and you deserve answers and relief.
