So my GP is finally referring me. Though I asked for a referral to an endocrinologist, she is referring me to a gynaecologist. This is still okay right? I definitely would have preferred the former, but it’s something she is doing because I said to her i’m not keen on birth control but would like to try metformin for regulating my periods. She said she cannot prescribe me that herself, but she’ll refer me. Will the gynaecologist be keen on prescribing me this? Will she be interested in checking my hormones/other blood tests? I’ve been dismissed so many times so i’m just hoping something happens from this.
